Top Shelf Margarita - BJ's Brewhouse - Pearland, TX

While traveling in Texas, I came across a really good restaurant - BJ's Brewhouse.  Turns out it's a chain and this particular one was in Pearland, just outside of Houston.
Obviously with a name that includes the word "Brewhouse" this is an Establishment that specializes in beers - their very own as it turns out.  In fact, everyone else at the table ordered beer and they were very impressed with the flavors.  So chalk one up for the beers at BJ's.
But I am a margarita guy, so I focused on their cocktail list, which had a pretty good variety of choices. At the urging of the Waiter I settles on BJ's Top Shelf Margarita.  Composed of Cazadores Reposado Tequila, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, homemade margarita mix, a splash of orange juice and fresh lime topped off with Grand Marnier, and served on the rocks this had the makings of a great drink.
And lucky for me, it lived up to my expectations, earning a solid four on my scale.  I will admit that it was a bit sweet, but not overpoweringly, so I won't deduct any points from the ranking.
Food was pretty good at BJ's as well.  I got a fish taco and a shrimp taco, and even though this was not billed as a Mexican Cantina, the results were excellent.  One of the other guys at the table got the Chicken Tortilla Soup which he proclaimed as the best soup he had ever eaten.  It's a pretty neat dish that is partially created at the table.  You will have to order it yourself to get the full experience...

So, the BJ's Top Shelf Margarita gets a 4 on the Limer Scale.
